In this video, I’ll give you 5 reasons why the Nikon Z50 is the best mirrorless camera for beginners. As of right now, it is the only Nikon mirrorless camera aimed at non-professionals. I tried out this camera along with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm kit lenses through the Nikon Yellow Program (not sponsored; I used my own funds to buy this camera) which allows you to try the Z50 for 30 days, or you get your money back. Here are my thoughts, along with sample photos and test video footage.

The Nikon Z50 is the first DX mirrorless camera from Nikon. Its essentially a much smaller and compact version of the Nikon Z6. I’ve been shooting on this camera for a few weeks now and I’m extremely impressed. I really didn’t expect this camera to be this good. The intention was to make a smaller mirrorless body at a lower price point as an alternative to the full frame cameras. Nikon did this but really didn’t hold any features back – its VERY good.
